Bingo Bonanza!

This is “Bingo” celebrating all the winners! (Bingo is actually named Buddy, and I got his photo here.)

Wow, between yesterday and this morning we’ve had 9 winners post a Bingo! I’ve double-checked all the cards and everyone does have a valid Bingo. Congratulations to the first 15 Bingo winners:

Susan  B.
Nancy L.
Michelle L.
Julianna P.

And congratulations to the first Bingo runner up: Analine

This means that there are currently winners for each of the 15 prizes. You can continue to post a Bingo to be considered a runner-up, in the event a recent prize winner decides not to receive a book. I’ve sent emails to all the winners regarding prize selection, so if you are listed above but haven’t received anything from me, please nudge me!

I want to thank all of you for participating in Book Cover Bingo. I have had so much fun hosting this game and that’s all thanks to you guys for playing along and the enthusiasm and fun vibes you sent my way. I wish I had more prizes to give away, but I hope you enjoyed playing regardless of whether or not you won.
I’d definitely like to host Book Cover Bingo again and would appreciate any feedback you might have–things you liked, ideas for improving the game in the future, or any comments really. (You can comment here on the blog or send me an email.) One suggestion I’ve already received was to make a downloadable Bingo template for teachers, librarians, or others to use if they’d like. I thought that was a great idea and I’ll be adding a link for that soon. (As soon as I figure out the technical wizardry involved in doing that.)
Thank you once again for playing Book Cover Bingo, everyone!

Jennifer, even though I didn't get a bingo, playing was really fun. Thank you so much for creating and hosting the game. I'm sure it was a lot of work!

Thanks for hosting Bingo! I had so much fun playing, even without winning! It was just fun to come in and check and see all the cool books that were posted. Having such a wide variety of books made it really interesting and I learned about a lot of new books this way. Thanks again for doing this!

Thanks Jenn, this was fun and I would love to replicate it for my kids at school. Please let us know how what program you used to generate your Bingo cards.

I want to add my thanks for hosting this! I didn't win but my daughter did. I kept plugging away (I would have loved that heiny book!) but I had fun even without winning.

The best part of all of this was discovering a new blog that I really love. I'm looking forward to following along from now on, bingo games or not. 🙂

Thanks so much…I'll miss checking each morning! I was really close and am still working on my goal of reading all the books on my sheet that I have not read.
Best wishes for a great second half of summer.

I didn't win but I can't even begin to tell you how much fun this was. Thanks alot for hosting this Bingo. If you'd ever like to host it again, I don't mind asking some authors for a couple book donations.

Keep up the gr8 work on your blog.

Loved it… even though I didn't have a bingo it brought some books to my attention – which I have since purchased! So thank you for that!!

Thank you for all your comments, guys. You are all awesome! I'm so glad everyone had fun with this.

Molly, thanks for those links for making Bingo boards. Those are great resources!

AJohnson, I’m working on a post that I’ll put up soon about how I made the Bingo boards. (It was really easy!)

Soulfulll, I definitely plan to host another Book Cover Bingo. I’m not exactly sure when. I have a couple of ideas I’m tossing around. But that is so thoughtful of you to offer asking authors for book donations! Email me if you want to talk about it more or if you have specific authors you’re thinking of.

Ladybug, you did so totally call it. 🙂 I wonder if that’s an unavoidable outcome with Bingo?

Jarkin33, that is one of the best things I could hear. I really love talking books with like-minded people, spreading book love, supporting authors and illustrators I admire and respect, plus I harbor a not-so-secret desire to own a children’s bookstore one day. Hearing that this game introduced some people to books that were new to them, and even promoted some purchases, temporarily satisfies those bookstore owner daydreams. 🙂
