School Visits & Events
I love talking to kids and adults about writing and reading. I will gladly develop a program to suit your needs. If you are interested in scheduling a visit or event, please contact me to inquire about rates and availability.
Please note: I support equity and inclusivity in the world of books and beyond and am not available for any events that discriminate against marginalized or underrepresented people in any way.
Virtual Visits
NEW! Virtual Storytime and TEN copies of A Good Deed Can Grow
In this virtual visit, I’ll read my picture book, A Good Deed Can Grow, illustrated by Holly Hatam, share a little about being a writer and how the book was made, and answer student questions. This book is a perfect complement for units on kindness and community. Rate: $100, includes TEN copies of the book! (If you’d like every student to receive a copy, let me know and we can figure out a way to make that happen.)
Additionally, if your class or book group is reading one of my novels, I’m happy to arrange free 15-minute QA chats, if my schedule allows.

“[Your Skype call] was AMAZING this morning. The kids were so engaged during your reading, and it was fantastic to see so many of them lining up to ask you questions. Furthermore, the teachers and I were incredibly impressed by your answers and the way in which you interacted with our sixth graders! You were truly stellar!”
